Chennai: Tamil Nadu Municipal Administration Minister KN Nehru has made objectionable statements about Biharis. The ruling party of the state, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader, said Biharis do not have enough mind like us. He said this at a 'Rozgar Camp' of DMK organized at Kalai Arangam Convention Centre in Trichy. He claimed that Lalu Prasad Yadav filled Biharis in the railways while he was union minister.

KN Nehru alleged that the jobs that were going to go to the People of Tamil Nadu were given to Biharis. Even in Tamil Nadu, a large number of labourers go from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. His statement is expected to create an atmosphere of insecurity for these workers and escalate tensions between the two states. KN Nehru made such a statement on central government jobs.

He said, "Biharis do not have enough mind. But you look at the Trichy Ponmalai Railway Workshop, where 4000 Biharis are working. Similarly, all over Tamil Nadu, you can see Biharis as gatekeepers in the Railways.'' At the same time, he also slammed the citizens of Tamil Nadu saying that the people here showed no interest in taking government jobs of the Central Government and did not make any efforts.
