Gurmeet Ram Rahim's outfits, valuables get were stolen

CHANDIGARH: The outfits of jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and other valuables were found stolen as the robber targeted the Naam Charcha Ghar of Mehndipur Daboda area of Bahadurgarh on Saturday.

Acting on the complaint of local follower Jaipal, a resident of Daboda village, the police are in progress for the investigations after registering the case at Bahadurgarh police station.

According to sources, the incident took place during the teensy hours of Saturday and it came to light in the evening when Jaipal, who is the short-term caretaker of the Charcha Ghar, went to check the place.

He found the locks of the room broken. The robber, whose number could not be determined, ransacked the premises. Besides taking away the dress of the Dera chief which was framed near a platform where supporters used to pay obeisance, the burglars took away the CCTV cameras, hard disc, DVR system, the computers and other valuables from the premises, especially those kept in the luxury room meant to use by Dera chief and other VVIPs.

Inspector Jasveer Singh, SHO of Bahadurgarh Sadar police station, said the case has been registered and forensic experts and crime teams have in progress the inquiry.

"We have also asked the local management to provide us the details as if they have any doubt. We are confident of sorting this out," he said.
