Gurugram: 3 policemen arrested for helping prisoners escape from jail, know the whole case

GURUGRAM: The robbery and rape accused had fled from the police station late on Monday evening due to negligence of three policemen posted at escort yard. In this case, the Gurugram Police has arrested six persons, including the three policemen, for their negligence. On Tuesday, the accused policemen were produced before the court and remanded for a day.

A case was registered at Sadar police station against the three policemen and the absconding accused on the basis of a complaint lodged by Inspector Jung Bahadur, in-charge of Escort Guard, late on Monday night. According to information, on Monday, some of the inmates lodged in Bhondsi jail were to be taken to different hospitals in Delhi for treatment. Rape accused Abhijeet and robbery accused Rakesh were taken away from jail in a government vehicle by Havildar Nishu, Havildar Anil and constable Naveen, posted at Escort Guard. The three policemen got the two accused off a government vehicle near the red light in Sector-56 and got them treated at LNJP Hospital in a private vehicle. From there, the policemen along with the two accused in a private vehicle took them to the Green-Tea OYO Hotel in Sector-38. From there, the two accused fled with a scooty.

On Tuesday, police arrested Arvind alias Anup, a resident of village Jhadsa and Ajay Jakhar, a resident of Naharpur Roopa, who helped the two prisoners. Apart from this, guest house operator Nitin Bhardwaj, a resident of Chakpur, has also been arrested by the police. During interrogation, the accused have revealed that Arvind alias Anup and Ajay Jakhar had come on a scooty. The prisoners fled from the same scooty.
