New Delhi: India's legendary spinner Harbhajan Singh has announced his retirement from international cricket on Friday. Harbhajan Singh made his international debut in 1998 and has now decided to say goodbye to cricket forever after 23 wars. Harbhajan Singh started his cricket at the age of just 17 and today he is 41 years old. Harbhajan Singh holds the record for being the youngest Indian bowler to take 400 Test wickets. Bhajji set the record in July 2011. Bhajji completed his 400 Test wickets by dismissing Carlton Bow in Dominica. With this, he became the youngest Indian spinner to take 400 Test wickets. He was 31 years and four days old at the time. Well in this case they are second among bowlers from all over the world. Muttiah Muralitharan holds the record for taking 400 Test wickets at an age under him. Murali completed 400 Test wickets at the age of 29 years and 273 days. Harbhajan Singh is also the first Indian bowler in Test cricket to take three wickets off three consecutive balls. He set the record in the Kolkata Test in March 2001. Bhajji had sent Ricky Potting, Adam Gilchrist and Shane Warne to the pavilion. He was succeeded by Irfan Pathan in 2006 and Jasprit Bumrah in Test cricket in 2019. Bhajji took 32 wickets in the three-Test series against Australia in March 2001. Through this, he became the highest wicket-taker in the three-Test series. No other spinner in the world has taken more than 32 wickets in three Tests.
