Tritiya Tithi will conclude on the next day i.e. 23 July at 5.4 pm. On this day women observe fast for their husband's longevity. Legendary significance of Hariyali Teej festival This festival is celebrated all over India. However, in the North Indian states, people celebrate the festival of Teej with great pomp. According to Shiva Purana, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were reunited on this day and that is why this festival is celebrated. Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are worshiped on this day. On the day of Hariyali Teej, such a belief is also prevalent that on this day, married women should wear their maiden clothes and also use only the items from the same place in the makeup.
