Hartalika Teej - Hartalika is composed of two words, every and table. They say that Har means to haran and to the talika means Sakhi. The festival is celebrated as Shukla Tritiya of Bhadrapad, hence it is called Teej. On the other hand, this fast is called Hartalika because Parvati's son had taken him from his father's house to the forest.
