New Delhi: Today is the last day of campaigning for assembly elections in Haryana-Maharashtra. The election campaign in these states will stop today at 6 pm, There are 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra and 90 seats in Haryana. Apart from this, by-elections are also held for 64 assembly seats in different states of the country. This includes by-elections in 11 seats of UP, two seats in Himachal Pradesh. Voting is on 21 October. There are 110 candidates filded for the by-elections in 11 seats of the UP Assembly. Gangoh of Sahanpur, Rampur of Rampur district, Iglas of Aligarh, Cantt of Lucknow, Govind Nagar of Kanpur Nagar, Manikpur of Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh of Pratapgarh, Zaidpur of Barabanki, Jalalpur of Ambedkar Nagar, Balha of Bahraich and Ghosi of Mau District. The assembly seat is to be held. In support of the BJP candidates, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BJP State President Swatantra Dev Singh, General Ministerial Organization Sunil Bansal and State Government Ministers have held election meetings and meetings. At the same time, other leaders have also campaigned including state president Ajay Kumar Lallu for Congress and state president Naresh Uttam Patel for SP. Voting will be held on October 21 from 7 am to 6 pm for 90 assembly seats in Haryana. Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Aggarwal said that any propaganda would have stopped during the 48-hour time period ending with the time fixed for termination of voting under Section 126 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
