Haryana assembly elections: BJP leadership upset with this demand of big leaders of state

Chandigarh: The assembly election dates in Haryana have been announced. Political parties in the state are busy in giving their election campaign a edge. The BJP, which came to power for the first time in the state, is also looking to speed up its campaign. CM Khattar is traveling across the state. Meanwhile, the BJP is stuck in a tangle. Two senior state leaders have increased BJP's problems. Rao Inderjit Singh and Krishnapal Gurjar are seeking tickets for their daughter and son.

Meanwhile, the party leadership, cautious of Indrajit's continued power display has deferred a decision in this matter. The two Union Ministers argue that if three people from Chaudhary Birendra's family can go to Parliament and Assembly then why can't another member of his family get a ticket? Two days ago, in the meeting held at the party headquarters, the issue was intensely debated.

The high command argued that since Chaudhary Birendra's wife is an MLA, she cannot be ignored in the ticket case. On this Gurjar said that his son Devendra Chaudhary is also the elected councilor and deputy mayor. At the same time, Indrajit said that he too is ready to resign from the Union Cabinet like Chaudhary Birendra Singh for his daughter's ticket.

Indrajit Singh wants to get his daughter Aarti Rao a ticket from Rewari. His plan is to hand over her political legacy by contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Gurgaon to her daughter in the next Lok Sabha election. Rao Inderjit has been consistently showing strength through rallies amidst the prospect of being given tickets to his adversaries Jagdish Yadav, Rao Abhay Singh, Vikram Contractor. His supporters say this is the 69-year-old Rao's last chance to hand over his political legacy to his daughter. So he is adamant on getting his daughter a ticket in any case. 65 seats have been discussed in the party's core committee meeting.
