Chandigarh: Amid the ongoing controversy over offering prayers at public places in Gurugram, Haryana, state CM Manohar Lal Khattar has issued strict instructions that the practice of offering prayers in the open will not be tolerated at all. He said on Friday (December 10th) that there should be no open prayers in any case. At the same time, he has requested for a peaceful resolution of the entire matter. CM Khattar also gave guidelines to police and administrative officials for the same. Asked by the journalist during an event, CM Khattar said, "We have also told the police here and also the deputy commissioner. This subject has to be resolved. We have no problem with someone praying or offering prayers in their place. That is why religious places are built. But there should not be any such program in the open. The practice of praying in the open here will not be tolerated at all. It will be resolved by sitting with everyone. ' CM Khattar further said that the Muslim community has a lot of lands. They should pray on the wakf lands or pray in their homes. There should be no open prayer and mutual tension. He said that it will be decided that everyone should be facilitated and no one's rights are violated, but no one will be allowed to force them. CM Khattar said that the permission of all the 37 places which we had identified for offering Namaz in the open has been revoked. Some decision was taken in between, but we have taken back the places which were given in those decisions.
