Kabaddi player Kavita Devi and wrestler Babita Phogat have been appointed as deputy director in the Sports and Youth Affairs Department by the Haryana government. The Principal Secretary, Sports and Youth Cases Department of Haryana Government appointed Kavita and Babita in two different orders issued on July 29. However, both these players sacked the state government for this post. He has been appointed under the category of Deputy Director (Sports) under Haryana Excellent Player (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2018. As per orders, both will have to join the department within a month. International wrestler Babita Phogat is the daughter of noted wrestling coach Mahavir Phogat.
