Chandigarh: The Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana has approved the proposal to allot 140 acres of land to e-commerce company Flipkart to set up Asia's largest and modern warehouse. This huge warehouse of Flipkart will be set up at Patli Hajipur in Manesar in the Gurugram district. This land of the State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has been allotted to Flipkart at the rate of Rs 3.22 crore per acre. In the meeting of the Haryana Enterprise Promotion Board headed by CM Manohar Lal Khattar, approval was given to the allotment of this land. State Deputy CM Dushyant Singh Chautala and Education Minister Kanwar Pal were also present in this meeting. It is being told that with the construction of this huge and modern warehouse, more than 4,000 people in the area will get direct employment. Also, about 12,000 people will get indirect employment. According to the Flipkart company, it is going to build a chain of logistics infrastructure across the country to increase its secret growth. Under this scheme, the company will also set up regional distribution centers across the country to provide the best service to consumers. Modern warehouses of e-commerce companies are different from traditional warehouses, they have modern and automatic facilities for packing, loading, and maintenance of goods. It is estimated that the allocation of this land will encourage investment in the area. Also, small and medium sellers will get more opportunities to sell goods in the market.
