The Haryana government announced COVID-induced lockdown to remain in place for one more week. The lockdown curbs in the state now will continue till May 24. Home and Health Minister Anil Vij shared the decision of lockdown-like protocols on Twitter. He said that stringent measures will be taken to contain the spread of COVID-19 infections in the state. The state health minister Anil Vij wrote on Twitter, “Mahamari Alert/Surkshit Haryana extended from 17 May to 24 May. Stringent measures will be taken to implement the alert.” Earlier, COVID-induced lockdown was extended from 10 May to 17 May. The state authorities have termed this lockdown as “Mahamari Alert/Surkshit Haryana”. Meanwhile, Haryana reported 701915 affected cases so far by novel coronavirus covid-19. A total of 611955 out of 701915 have recovered. Sadly, 6799 patients have died due to coronavirus in state. 83161 patients are still in hospital and recovering.
