The government has entrusted the responsibility in this regard to the Department of Public Health. Apart from this, the first rural sewerage system under the Mahagram scheme will be inaugurated on August 15 at Village Sotai in Faridabad. For your information, let us tell you that this decision has been taken in a meeting with the officers of the Public Health Department headed by Chief Minister Manohar Lal. CM also instructed the officials of the department to give information about the modalities and means for setting up this plant. Initially, bottled mineral water from this plant will be made available to government institutions. Later, mineral water reverse osmosis (RO) plants will be set up in educational institutions to provide clean and fresh drinking water to the students. Apart from this, it was also decided in the meeting that apart from drinking water, a comprehensive testing laboratory will be set up in all districts of the state. Where not only will drinking water be tested, but the quality of other food items will also be tested. CM said that providing clean and adequate drinking water facilities to the people is one of the top priorities of the state government. At the same time, he instructed the officials of the department to ensure that there should be no shortage in drinking water supply in urban and rural areas, especially in the summer season. He also inquired about the detailed plan made by the department for the supply of drinking water in different areas of the state.
