Hathras Case: 'FIR should be lodged against DM and SP', says Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow: The gang-rape victim in Hathras in Uttar Pradesh succumbed to her injuries. The opposition is targeting PM Modi and CM yogi in unison to provide justice to the family of the victim. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has tweeted and demanded an FIR against the DM and SP of the state.

In a tweet, SP President Akhilesh Yadav wrote, "Today, senior SP leaders and MLAs who are going to sit on a 'silent vow' for the daughter of Hathras have been arrested by the BJP government and their voices have been suppressed in a non-violent manner on the day of Bapu and Shastri's birth anniversary. It is highly condemnable.  He said that FIR should be lodged against SP and DM.

The media including the opposition parties are trying to meet the family of the victim, but the police have been deployed there and nobody is being allowed to meet them. FIR has been lodged in the Ecotech Forest police station against 203 Congress leaders and activists including Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rajya Sabha member Dipendra Hooda on Thursday.
