Health Minister Mandaviya made a statement on the corona situation in India, said this on the restrictions

On this, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has made it clear that the situation of Corona in the country is not yet such that strict restrictions should be imposed. However, he has definitely said that Corona is not over, so be alert.

The Health Minister held a virtual meeting with the State Health Ministers on Friday (December 23). During this, the states were instructed to be extra vigilant in view of the celebration of Christmas and New Year. Mandaviya said during a media briefing, 'The situation in the country is not yet such that strict restrictions should be imposed. We are doing much better.' With time, people have also understood the seriousness of this epidemic. He is being cautious at his level as well. There is no need to panic. 

Mandaviya on Friday advised the states and union territories to conduct mock drills in all health facilities on December 27 to ensure the preparedness of the infrastructure with a special focus on oxygen plants, ventilators, logistics, and human resources. In view of the recent spurt in coronavirus cases in some parts of the world, he said during a digital meeting with state health ministers and senior officials, there is a need for the Center and states to work together and in a collaborative spirit, as It was done during the last boom for prevention and management of corona.
