Hearing on demonetization move to be continue in Top Court today

New Delhi: Today, the hearing on demonetization move will be continue in the Supreme Court, as previously the issue was suspended due to the troubles faced by the cooperative banks. The government has been asked by the Chief Justice of India T.S. Thakur to check if something can be done in the matter.

He said, “people are suffering, it is a serious matter”.

Earlier, in the last week, an affidavit was submitted by the Centre to the Top court regarding the demonetization drive, alleging that it is a move to curb black money from the society.

“The Centre had filed a reply in the Supreme Court in compliance with the top court’s earlier order on the issue”, said Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi.
