Heavy rains create ruckus in Uttarakhand, horrifying photos surfaced

Dehradun: Heavy rains continue to lash several cities in Uttarakhand since this morning. The Meteorological Centre has predicted the heaviest rainfall in Pauri and Nainital. At the same time, busy pictures of public life are coming out in places of rain. On Gangotri national highway where there has been waterlogging. At the same time, many roads and bridges have been destroyed in Pithoragarh.

In Pithoragarh, the Davaligad bridge in the Thal Munsyari motorway has been destroyed due to torrential rains that started on Friday night. Due to this, the operation of trains has also stopped here. People are walking here risking their lives. Munsyari received the highest rainfall of 56 mm. Pithoragarh-Dharchula National Highway is closed near Lakhanpur due to debris. Vehicles have been stranded here since morning.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in Pauri and Nainital today. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the first time. Apart from this, very heavy rainfall has also been predicted in Dehradun, Tehri, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat, Bageshwar, Almora and Pithoragarh.
