Ayodhya: Additional security forces are being deployed in Ayodhya in view of the festivals and the Supreme Court's decision on the Ram Bith place issue soon. The entire Ayodhya city has been put on high alert and ten additional companies are being deployed in the city. A senior official told that "We will ensure the monitoring of Durga Pooja and Dussehra processions with drones, plus we have requested the Pooja Committee not to use Gulal during the processions. They can use flower petals".

The district administration has started making arrangements to accommodate additional forces. Local guest houses, dharamshalas, schools and colleges will be used to accommodate the security forces. Durga idol immersion and Dussehra festivities will start from Monday and various Ram Leelas will continue throughout the month till Diwali. The three-day 'Deepotsav' program being organized by the UP government on the eve of Diwali is also expected to generate huge crowds.

The district police and local intelligence units have been directed to examine all the hotels, guest houses, dharamshalas, lodges and homestays and verify the identity cards of the people working and living there. This is done in view of the threat information given by the intelligence agencies.
