New Delhi: Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina on Sunday met Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister of the country Manmohan Singh. During this time the relationship between the two countries was discussed. Earlier, Sheikh Hasina met PM Narendra Modi. On the meeting of PM Modi and Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar said that, 'PM Modi warmly welcomed the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina who visited India.
Ravish Kumar further said that the two top leaders have met for the second time in 10 days, following the strength of India-Bangladesh relations. Earlier on Saturday morning, Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Minister S.K. I also met Jaishankar. On this meeting, Ravish Kumar said that mutual relations are taking new heights. Dr. Jaishankar interacted warmly with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. During this time he again emphasized on making India's relations with Bangladesh a top priority.
Discussions were held between India and Bangladesh on trade and contacts, development cooperation and connecting the two countries, culture and other issues of mutual interest. Bangladesh is expected to sign another agreement for the supply of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in India's Northeast.
