India's leading automaker Hero MotoCorp has hiked the price of two of its 200cc bikes. Both the bikes are the Xtreme 200R and the Xtreme 200S. The prices have increased by Rs 1,000 and Rs 900 respectively. After the price hike, the Extreme 200R is priced at Rs 91,900 and the Exstream 200S is priced at Rs 99,400. For your information, the company launched the Full Faired Bike Extreme 200S in May at a price of Rs 98,500. Hero MotoCorp has hiked its price in the third month of its launch. The Extreme 200R was launched in August 2018 at a price of Rs 89,900. The company had raised the price by Rs 1,000 in April 2019. Now, again, the price of the bike has gone up by Rs 1,000. Both the bikes have a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, aircooled engine. The engine produces 18hp of power and 17Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. These bikes have disc brakes on both sides. Both the bikes are equipped with single channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). The Extreme 200R has a digital analog instrument cluster, while the Xstream 200S is fully digitalunit.
Despite the rise in the segment's cheapest bike prices, the two Hero bikes are still the cheapest bikes in their segment. The Extreme 200R is rivaled by bikes like the Apache RTR 160 4V and the Pulsar NS 160. The sports-looking Extreme 200S is rivaled by bikes like the Suzuki Gixxer SF 155.
