Man dies due to cold in Manali, temperature reaches zero degree

Kullu: After snowfall in different areas of Himachal Pradesh, winter is now wreaking havoc. After the highest snowfall in Kullu city, the temperature has gone below zero degree. Due to this, cold is chilling in Manali and surrounding areas. A man died last night in Chhaoga, Manali. As soon as the death toll was received from the cold, the local police rushed to the spot immediately and the body was captured and sent for postmortem.

Subsequently, SP Gaurav Singh of Kullu city confirmed the death of 40-year-old Rajesh Sharma from cold. After continuous snowfall on the mountain, although the sun shone in the state on Friday and Saturday, people did not get relief from the cold. The freezing cold has kept the life of the general public disorganized. The district administration has been alerted after the death of a 40-year-old man due to cold in Manali.

Gaurav Singh, SP, Kullu said that Rajesh Sharma, a resident of Chachoga Nala, died due to cold. After the death, the police took statements of the local people and conducted a postmortem of the body. Before this, many other cities including the state capital Shimla received heavy snowfall last week. In many areas including Shimla, Manali, Keylong, the peaks of the mountains were seen covered with snow.
