In the midst of the farmers' movement on the Delhi border, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the new agricultural laws are in their interest. He said that the correct and complete knowledge of the law can become a force for farmers. PM Modi has asked farmers to get rid of all kinds of rumours and strengthen themselves with the right information. Giving an example, he said how the money of Jitendra Bhoiji, a farmer from Maharashtra, who has been circling for payment for months, has been able to get money due to the new law.

In the new law, where the farmer is supposed to get the money within three days, his complaints will also be resolved within a month. The PM said that farmer Jitendra Bhoiji of Dhule district of Maharashtra had cultivated maize. He decided to sell it to the crop merchant for the right price. Payment of 3 lakh 32 thousand rupees was fixed. He got an advance of 25 thousand rupees. There was talk of paying the remaining money in 15 days but he did not get the rest of the payment.

PM Modi on Sunday particularly discussed the issue related to farmers amidst his popular radio program Mann Ki Baat. He said, "New dimensions are being added to farming and allied things in India. The agrarian reforms of the past have also opened doors to new possibilities for the farmers. The demands of the farmers for years, to meet the demands but at some time every political party promised them, those demands have been fulfilled. " Defending the three agricultural laws, PM Modi said that after much deliberation, the Parliament of India gave legal shape to agricultural reforms. These reforms have not only ended many bonds of farmers, but they have also got new rights, new opportunities.
