Ranchi: Ankita Kumari, who was set on fire by a youth named Shahrukh Hussain in Jharkhand by pouring petrol, breathed her last, last night during treatment at the hospital. A Twitter user shared a few pictures of Ankita and said, "Ankita, a girl from Jharkhand who was poured petrol by her neighbour Shahrukh and set on fire, died last night. Her father Sanjeev Singh said Ankita breathed her last at 2:30 pm. By evening, she was asking, 'Tell me honestly whether I will survive or not.'' After Ankita died in RIMS Hospital, her parents are crying badly. At the same time, there is anger in the entire Dumka district due to the case. Hindu organisations have announced protest marches and bandhs. There is a demand everywhere that Shahrukh should be hanged in the fast track. Let me tell you that the attack on Ankita in Dumka, Jharkhand, took place on Tuesday (August 23) morning. Ankita had informed the police in a critical condition that Shahrukh, who was next door, used to harass her every day. He spoke to her for friendship. But when Ankita did not listen, he scolded her and threatened to kill her. On Monday, Ankita told her father about it. Then, she went to sleep. When she woke up the next morning she found her back burning. She ran to her father's room, all of them extinguished the fire with great difficulty and took her to the hospital. In the hospital, it was found that Ankita had suffered 90 per cent burns. In the photos, it could be seen how her hands and feet were burnt. The officers took the statement of Ankita and her family and arrested Shahrukh on the same day. The family hoped that Ankita might survive. But due to excessive burns, she could not recover and died at 2:30 pm.
