Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) on Wednesday (October 5) renamed his old party Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). The launch of the party has been done at the national level, but differences among some leaders are also coming out in the open. According to the report, his own daughter and senior party leader K Kavita was absent at the grand event, triggering political speculation. Also Read: 'No one can challenge delimitation report on J&K..,' says Centre in SC Kavita was not only missing from the high-profile event, but her name was also missing from the list of TRS in-charge for the upcoming Munugode bypoll. It seems clear from all these activities that nothing is not going well in the house of KCR. Telangana CM KCR on Wednesday renamed TRS as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) which is its first step towards becoming a national party ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In June this year, KCR also brainstormed with TRS leaders on the idea of forming a national party. However, no final decision was taken on the idea of a new party then. At that time, TRS sources had also said that discussions were done on some names like 'Bharat National Committee' (BRS), 'Ujjwal Bharat Party' and 'Naya Bharat Party' for the new party.
