NEW DELHI: A high-level meeting was held in the Home Ministry on Monday under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Home Secretary were also present at the meeting. Intelligence Bureau (IB) and RAW officials also attended the meeting. The meeting is expected to discuss the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. It is worth mentioning here that NSA Doval visited Kashmir after the abrogation of Section 370 of the Constitution granting special status to the Valley. There, he met the local people and took stock of the situation and their opinion was to be known. The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is normal in the current phase. After a long gap of 14 days, 190 primary schools have been opened in Kashmir today. With this, all government offices in Jammu and Kashmir have also started functioning from today. However, schools above 10th have been kept closed. In addition, all the school colleges have been opened in Jammu. Since the removal of Section 370, the communication services like Internet, Landline, etc., were discontinued in view of the apprehension of any untoward incident in the Valley.
