New Delhi: In the National Capital today the Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi had met with British counterpart Patsy Wilkinson and according to reports it is expected that the deportation of liquor baron Vijay Mallya was discussed in the meeting. Mallya has allegation on him of fraud and the last month he was arrested by Scotland Yard. Though he was released on bail as he assured the court to abide by all conditions associated with extradition proceedings, including surrendering his passport. Last February, India gave a formal extradition request for Mallya through a note verbale.
