The Prime Minister Narendra Modi today at Kedarnath paid deferential respect as the portals of the Himalayan shrine reopened today for the devotees. The shrine was closed for past six months due to winter season.
PM Modi was Accompanied by Uttarakhand Governor K K Paul and Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. He reached in the helipad built close to the temple in an Army chopper.
He offered prayers and performed a 'Rudra Abhishek' in the sanctum sanctorum of the centuries-old shrine.
