Renowned automobile manufacturer Honda will start getting Android Auto support in its Honda Gold Wing 2018 models from mid-June 2020. Honda Motorcycles has been offering Apple CarPlay since 2017, but now it is offering only Android Auto. Gold Wing was the first such motorcycle in the year 2017 that came with Apple CarPlay which comes with advanced navigation features and the application specific services only comes in cars. Now Android Auto is being given in all existing Gold Wings, due to which you can now use music and messaging apps along with navigation. Android Auto Support will not be available in 2017 models. This support is only available in models from 2018 onwards. In this, you just need a few requirements such as Android 5.0 Lollipop or the latest smartphone phones running Android, as well as Bluetooth headset. According to Honda, this upgrade will be available from mid-June and it will be free. Along with installing Android Auto, riders will also be able to easily access Google Maps. In the coming time many motorcycles will be given Android Auto and Apple CarPlay feature. Therefore, the Android Auto Upgrade is not the first such off-upgrade to be found in the Honda Gold Wing, such an upgrade has brought many brands to many of its models. Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorrad are also offering Android systems in many of their flagship models.
