Hyderabad (Telangana): Honda on Tuesday announced that it has crossed the 2.5 million customer mark in Telangana. The company claims to have been successful in selling over 1 lakh scooters in the state between April and November this year, as the 2020 epidemic has led significantly. This is the Challenging Year. The contribution of scooters in the Telangana two-wheeler industry is 33% higher than the average all-India figure, which is 29%. Honda has a 72% market share in the scooter segment in Telangana, with Bestseller Activa contributing significantly. Honda claims that its Activa scooter is the best-selling two-wheeler in the state. Yadwinder Singh Guleria, Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “Activa's ongoing expansion in the Telangana region over the last 5-6 years represents significant growth not only for scooters, but also for customer confidence in the Honda brand. It took Honda 14 years to add the first 10 lakh customers in Telangana, adding the next 1.5 lakh customers in the last six years.
