Lucknow: Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, is a small savings scheme, under which a daughter's parents can open an account in their daughter's name. After which the account can be operated till the age of 10 years, this account can be opened in any post office or government banks. For this, you only have to fill a form. After which you too will get the benefit of this Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana of the government and with this money you can secure your daughter's future.

In fact, under this scheme, the government wants to provide financial benefits to those poor families, who are unable to raise their daughters properly. However, you will not get the benefit of this scheme for free. For this, you have to deposit ₹ 250 per month in a bank account opened in your daughter's name. That is, you have to deposit an installment of ₹ 250 only in your daughter's account for 14 years.

After this, as soon as your daughter attains the age of 21 years, the government will provide a grant of Rs 6 lakh to her, with this money you can marry a daughter easily or get her daughter to get higher education. The best part of this scheme is that you will not have to pay any kind of tax on the amount received under this scheme. If your daughter dies due to some reason, the government will return your money along with interest to you. To open this account, you can apply to any post office by taking ration card, parents' ID proof and two passport size photos.
