Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police will honour drivers who follow traffic rules in the city by providing a measure letter under a unique initiative. The Rakokanda Police Commissioner launched the "Petrol for Happy Driving" programme here on Thursday. Under the initiative launched by Rachaconda Commissioner Mahesh B Bhagwat, the traffic police will habitually identify drivers who follow traffic rules and take safety measures while driving. Now, the Rachconda Police has launched a unique programme of its kind in India called 'Petrol for Happy Driving' to mark those who follow the rules. He said, such drivers will be given a sticker and certificate. The Hyderabad Police has started deducting the challan of school vehicles for violating traffic rules. So far, the police have deducted invoices of more than 2000 vehicles.
