CBI in a recent case of taking bribes in the buying of 12 helicopters from Agusta Westland has arrested Former IAF Cheif Shashindra Pal Tyagi. Apart, from him the officials are going to arrest lawyer Gautam Khaitan, his cousin brother Sanjeev and Julie Tyagi.
Director Rakesh Asthana said "I won't be able to share the evidence but I can tell you that there was sufficient material available against him for effecting an arrest,". Earlier Tyagi and Khaitan were arrested for same allegation by Enforcement Directorate.
The whole incident came into light in 2010 and in 2014 when Modi government took over investigation team was established.
