Plane crashes in Patiala, IAF entrusted investigation to this team

On Monday, the Indian Air Force (IAF) said that an investigation team has been formed to find out the reasons for the accident of a training aircraft in Patiala. The IAF said in a statement, 'A court has been set up to find out the cause of the accident. The IAF stands firmly with the family of Group Captain GS Cheema in this difficult time. Explain that Group Captain GS Cheema lost his life in this accident, while Vipin Kumar Yadav, an NCC trainee of the local government Mohindra College, was injured in it.

In its statement, the IAF said that, 'In an unfortunate accident, the NCC Microlight aircraft crashed on Monday during a training mission in Patiala.' Let us tell you that this single-engine two-seater aircraft fell into the Civil Aviation Club on Monday afternoon. It was used for training cadets of NCC Third Air Square Dun Battalion.

For your information, let us tell you that Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh also expressed deep grief over the crash in the Army Cantonment area in Patiala on Monday, in which a pilot was also killed. It was reported that this microlight aircraft got entangled in the aviation club's wires before taking off due to technical fault. In the incident, pilot wing commander Captain Gurpreet Singh Cheema (50) died. Vipin Kumar Yadav, NCC cadet of Government Mahindra College, Patiala, was injured. He was admitted to the Military Hospital.
