ICC ODI Rankings: Virat Kohli retain top spots, Jasprit Bumrah 2nd on bowlers charts

Sidon: Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma of Team  India remain in the top two positions in the batsmen's ICC ODI rankings. Indian captain Kohli leads with 870 points, while Rohit Sharma is at number two, with 842 points. Rohit is five points ahead of third-ranked Pakistani player Babar Azam. Playing his first ODI since the 2019 World Cup, Pandya has ensured his place in the top 50 batsmen with 493 in the first match and 90 not out in the third.

Finch's 114-run knock in the first ODI and subsequent innings of 60 and 75 in the subsequent matches put him in fifth best with 791 points, his fourth best since reaching number four on June 2016.  A century from 62 balls in the first two ODIs against Team India gave him an opportunity to return to the top 20 ODI batsmen for the first time since 2018.

In the series against India, Glenn Maxwell scored 167 runs at a strike rate of 194.18 and had to settle for 20th position with two half-centuries. He managed to make it to the top 20 for the first time since February 2017. In this series dominated by batsmen, Adam Zampa made a big impact with the ball, making him a place in the top 20 ODI bowlers for the first time. If we talk about bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah has lost one place in the latest rankings. Bumrah is in third place with 700 points while he was replaced by Mujib ur Rehman of Afghanistan, who is just one point higher than Bumrah. Trent Bolt is on the top place with 722 points.
