IIT Kharagpur's placement drive for the 2024-25 academic year has seen a remarkable start, with over 1,000 job offers extended to students in just the first three days. By December 3, more than 800 offers, including pre-placement offers (PPOs), were secured within the first two days, and the total surpassed 1,000 by the third day.
Prominent companies from various industries, including high-frequency trading, software, analytics, finance, banking, and consulting, have presented exciting opportunities to students. The institute also witnessed a significant presence of core engineering firms during this early phase, which is considered an impressive development.
Twenty international job offers have been part of this early placement success, further highlighting the global appeal of IIT Kharagpur students.
Institute Director, Prof. V K Tewari, praised the students for their remarkable determination and skill in securing these opportunities in a competitive job market. He also expressed his gratitude to the companies for their faith in the capabilities of IIT Kharagpur graduates.
