IMD alert! snowfall may occur in these states of country

New Delhi: The month of February is very important in terms of climate change. In February, heat is also being felt in most areas these days, due to which the temperature is also very fluctuating. The temperature in Delhi has been recorded at around 33 degrees Celsius. Indian Meteorological Department has said that there are chances of rain in other parts of the country.

The Indian weather department has issued an alert saying that there is a possibility of thunderstorms and snowfall in the next two days in some areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. At the same time, isolated areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad may receive rain or snowfall on Saturday. According to IMD, there is a possibility of hail at these places on 27 February. Meanwhile, the state of Sikkim in North East India may receive thunderstorms and snowfall on Saturday and Sunday.

Giving the weather information, IMD Additional Director Anand Sharma said that yesterday's temperature in Delhi was 8 degrees above normal and the maximum temperature reached 33.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Delhi and surrounding areas of Northwest India is 5 to 6 degrees above normal.
