Weather forecast: Temperature drop, dense fog, and rain expected in Delhi from tomorrow

New Delhi: After four consecutive days of rain, the cold has started rising again in Delhi-NCR. Light fog enveloped the morning. This morning the temperature was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, the temperature in Delhi was 14 degrees Celsius, seven degrees above normal, which was above normal. However, even after the rise in temperature, the air quality index was recorded in the poor category due to lower air quality.

According to the India Meteorological Department, on Thursday, the minimum temperature at the Safdarjung Observatory was 14.4 degrees Celsius, seven degrees above normal. The maximum temperature was recorded one degree above normal at 19.9 degrees Celsius. According to IMD scientists, the minimum temperature may fall by a few degrees today or on Friday. The minimum temperature for Friday was estimated at around 11-12 degrees Celsius.

Even on Thursday, the air quality declined marginally due to high temperatures, but it remained in the "poor" zone. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) recorded 255 AQIs of Delhi in the "bad" zone. On Wednesday, AQI was 226, also in "bad" territory. On a scale of 0 to 500, reading between 200 and 300 is considered to be in a poor range.
