Islamabad: Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan has been making scathing attacks on Shehbaz Sharif's government over the ever-rising prices of petrol and diesel in his country. In Pakistan, which is facing an economic crisis, petrol prices have been hiked by Another Rs 30, taking a litre of petrol to Rs 209 a litre. Imran Khan has said that the country's leaders do not want to buy cheaper oil from Russia because they are afraid of the US. Terming the leaders of Pakistan's ruling party as slaves of the US, Imran Khan has praised India. Imran Khan has said that while Pakistan is increasing petrol prices by 30-30 rupees, India has reduced the oil prices by 25 rupees. It shows the difference between a slave and a free country. Addressing a public meeting at Besham in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khan said his government wanted to buy cheaper oil from Russia, but the current "imported government" has a reluctance to buy Russian oil as slave leaders fear the US. The former PM further said, "These people are slaves of America. I am campaigning for the real freedom of the country. The country should be prepared," Khan said while addressing the public that the Government of Pakistan is increasing the price of oil day by day, but the Indian government has recently reduced the price of oil by Rs 25. He further said, "This shows the difference between the ability of a slave and a free country to make decisions."
