London- Britain's health agency has given the green signal to children aged 12 and older to get a modern corona anti-virus vaccine. This will be the second corona vaccine administered to children of this age in the UK. Earlier, children in this age group have been allowed to get the Pfizer vaccine. The Drug and Health Products Regulatory Agency reported on Tuesday that the government's vaccination advisers depend on when they ask for the introduction of the Moderna vaccine. Tell you that currently only Pfizer vaccines are being administered to children between the ages of 12 and 15 in the UK. The agency said these vaccine supplements are absolutely safe and have also proved effective on people in this age group. But it says it now depends on the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunization (JCVI), the advisory body of the government, on when it asks for vaccination to start. Vaccination in the UK started in December last year and 90 percent of adults here have received the first dose of the vaccine. More than three-fourths (77 percent) of people have undergone two doses. Health officials say vaccination has led to a decline in the number of people admitted to the hospital with more serious cases of covid. At the same time, the infection rate has also come down. Earlier this month, the government said it would vaccinate all children between the ages of 16 and 17, but that was not done again.
