Meerut: Cable network of two districts came to a standstill due to fire in control room

The cable network of Meerut and Muzaffarnagar districts has been completely cut off due to a fire in the control room of Cable TV broadcasting company Den Galaxy on Friday. More than 2 lakh cable consumers have been harassed in both the districts. Lakhs of equipment has been completely burnt to ashes by the fire. Company managers say efforts are being made to start broadcasting by Saturday evening.

Smoke suddenly rises: According to the information received, the child has the Den Galaxy company's office at the park. A control room is set up in the same premises. According to manager Sanjeev Pradhan, cable networks were being provided from his office in Meerut and Muzaffarnagar. Both the districts have more than 2 lakh users. Smoke suddenly started rising from the control room on Friday morning. There was chaos in the office when they saw smoke rising. The employees tried to douse the fire with a fire extinguisher installed in the office. But the fire flared up even more.  Fire men also rushed to the spot. The fire was barely doused after half an hour's work. The fire completely burnt equipment worth lakhs of rupees.

Consumers remain edited: While it is also said that cable network has come to a standstill in both the districts. The sudden tv shutdown has created a stir in the city. Consumers have started moving phones to the toll free numbers of Den Galaxy. Consumers calmed down when they found out that the cable network was disrupted. The manager said efforts are being made to restore the network by replacing the fire-burnt equipment. Efforts are being made to restore most of the cable services by midnight. While cable broadcasting will be streamlined from Saturday. The apparent cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
