Peshawar: A passenger coach collided with a trawler on Thursday, killing at least 17 people, including women and children, in the northwest Pakistani city of Kohat, a rescue official confirmed. The incident happened close to the Kohat Tunnel on the Indus Highway in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to a statement by Rescue 1122 Kohat. According to Bilal Faizi, a spokesperson for Rescue 1122 Kohat, "seventeen people, including children and women, died when a passenger coach collided head-on with a trawler near Kohat tunnel." A large trawler that had overturned on a highway was depicted in pictures released by Rescue 1122 as several rescue workers assisted the injured. Another unfortunate incident that occurred in Kohat last week involved a boat that capsized in the city's Tanda Dam lake, killing 51 people.
