The biggest raid of income tax, seized foreign currency worth crores

Raipur: Income Tax Department is touring all over Chhattisgarh to conduct raids. The raids started on 27 February 2020 are still going on. By the time of writing this news, the year 2020 is the biggest raid by the Income Tax Department. On the radar of the Income Tax Department are politicians, chartered accountants, businessmen and administrative service officials.

Giving information, officials have said that now raids have been conducted at 47 places of seven people. Sources have told that the Income Tax officials have reached Raipur via a chartered flight. After this, he made a control room in a hotel in Raipur. Till Monday morning, Rs 100 crore cash has been received. Department investigative dogs have also seized foreign currency worth crores of rupees.

In all, 105 Income Tax officials from Mumbai, Delhi, Haryana and Gujarat came to Chhattisgarh. Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials were also involved in the raid. He was also accompanied by 11 cyber experts, who are monitoring the movement of those whose properties have been raided. Income tax sources say that after Raid, they searched for 32 other people, who are involved in this money trail. The department will soon launch another major search operation on builders, government officials and some business houses in the state.
