Ind vs SA: Ashwin surpasses this veteran to become the best bowler against South Africa in Tests

Visakhapatnam: R Ashwin, who returned to Test cricket after a long time, has proved himself in the first Test match being played against South Africa and India. Ashwin took five wickets in the first innings so far and the visitors have dominated the team's batsmen. Ashwin bowled after almost a year in Test cricket. This was the fifth time in Test cricket against the visiting team when R Ashwin took five wickets in an innings. Ashwin surpassed Indian bowlers Harbhajan Singh and Srinath.

Both of them did an amazing job of taking five wickets in an innings four times against the Proteas in Test cricket. Now Ashwin has left these two veterans behind and has taken these records to his name. This was Ashwin's 27th time in Test cricket when he has taken five or more wickets in an innings. It is also special for Ashwin because he bowled in Test cricket after almost a year and achieved this success. Ashwin played his last Test match against Australia in Adelaide on 6 December 2018 last year. Despite being included in the West Indies tour, he was not given a chance to play. The team management was also criticized by many former players of India.
