Senior players Kusal Perera, Dushmanta Chameera and Dhananjay a de Silva underwent corona tests, which were reported negative.

Talking to a Sri Lankan newspaper, Board Secretary Mohan di Silva said that the team players had already started training in the gym at the Simon Hotel. Team R Premadasa will now practice at the ground. The Sri Lankan cricket team will not be trained by the coach and support staff yet as they are currently in quarantine. The Board is taking extra precautions in view of corona infection. Because after returning from the tour of England, some members, including team coach Grant Flower, had a positive corona report.

According to the Sri Lanka Cricket Secretary, the team will not practice with the coach as team member and batting coach Grant Flower was found corona positive after returning from England.
