New Delhi: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported on Saturday that India had registered 2,323 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total active caseload to 14,996. The country's daily positivity rate is 0.47 percent, while the weekly positivity rate is 0.51 percent. In the previous 24 hours, 2,346 people have recovered. This brings the overall number of people who have recovered to 4,25,94,801. India's recovery rate has reached 98.75%. The government also recorded 25 deaths from COVID, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,24,348. In the previous 24 hours, India has performed 4,99,382 COVID tests. COVID tests have been conducted on a total of 84.63 crores so far. In the meantime, India has administered 15,32,383 doses in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of medicines given to 1,92,12,96,720. COVID-19 vaccination coverage in India has surpassed 191.96 crore people. More than 193.53 crore vaccine doses have been distributed to States and UTs, according to statistics released by the Union Health Ministry, with over 16.72 crore vaccine doses remaining unutilized.
