In the midst of the India-China tension, the central government has banned 118 mobile apps in India, including the popular app PubG, while making a digital strike on China.

Even before this, on 29 June, India had banned 58 apps including TikTok. The reason for banning the app was said to be necessary for India's security. Among the banned apps were many more apps like Share It, UC Browser, WeChat and Cam Scanner. After this, the Government of India once again banned 47 other apps last month. It has been said that these apps are acting as clones of 59 previously banned apps and they pose a big threat to the data security of users.
