New Delhi: According to data released by the Union Health Ministry, India has registered 38,628 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the last 24 hours, taking the number of infected people across the country to 3,18,95,385, while the death toll has risen to 4,27,371 with 617 deaths in the last 24 hours. According to data released by the Ministry at 8 am, the number of active cases in India has gone up to 4,12,153. It has been said that the recovery rate of National Covid-19 improved to 1.30 percent. It said the number of recoverers from the disease increased to 3,10,55,861, while the death rate is 1.34 percent. The Health Ministry on Friday said that more than 23 million remaining and unused Covid-19 vaccine doses are still available with states, Union Territories, and private hospitals which are yet to be administered. More than 511.6 million vaccine doses have been sent to states and Union Territories through all sources so far and 20,49,220 doses are in the pipeline. The corona vaccination drive has been intensified through the availability of more vaccines, advance the visibility of vaccine availability for States and Union Territories to better plan and streamline the vaccine supply chain.
