Ind Vs Eng: Rohit-Dhawan to open in ODIs, it could be India's playing XI

New Delhi: The three-match ODI series between India and England begins today, with the first match to be played today. The match will begin at 01:30 PM at the Maharashtra Cricket Stadium in Pune. Virat Kohli may have performed brilliantly in the Test and T20 series, but England's team in ODIs can be a big challenge for him. In view of the current performance of both teams, it would not be wrong to say that the match will see a thorny collision.

Team India captain Virat Kohli has made it clear that Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan will start their innings in the first one-dayer. Virat Kohli at number three and Shreyas Iyer at number four are also scheduled to play. However, it will be seen as to who captain Kohli entrusts with the responsibility of wicketkeeping. Kl Rahul played the role in the one-day series against Australia, but he is also expected to return to the squad given the current form of England Rishabh Pant.

Team India's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is not a part of the ODI series as well. His lack of Test and T20 series was met by Axar Patel, but he has not been included in the ODI series. Skipper Virat Kohli could give a debut to Krunal Pandya, who is in excellent form in the first ODI. Krunal is largely Jadeja's style player.

Team India's Potential Playing XI

The Indian team - Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli (captain), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
