Army Chief Naravane on 3-day South Korea tour talks on defence relations

New Delhi: Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane left for a three-day visit to South Korea on Monday. During his visit, he will hold talks with top defence officials of the Korean country on ways to expand bilateral military cooperation. Officials said South Korea is the main supplier of military goods and weapons to India.

The army chief went on a six-day visit to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia about two weeks ago. His visit reflects India's growing strategic ties with two influential Gulf countries. Officials said that General Narwane is proposed to meet the country's Defense Minister, Chief of Army Staff and Joint Chiefs of Staff in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. General Narwane will also meet the Minister of Defense Procurement Planning Administration of South Korea.

Giving information in a statement, the Army has said that the army chief will brainstorm ways to further the defence relations between the Republic of India. Army Chief Narwane will also visit Korea 'Combat Training Center' in Gangwon Province and 'Advanced Defense Development' in Daejeon.
