Nepal to confer the honorary rank of general of the Nepali Army to General Naravane, will visit Kathmandu next month

New Delhi: Indian Army Chief General MM Narwane will visit Nepal next month (November). It is being told that he will be confered the honorary rank of general of the Nepali Army. As is the tradition of both countries. This is the first important visit from India after the release of a new map of Nepal's Lipulekh-Kalapani. Actually, this honor was started from the year 1950. India has also been continuously honoring the Nepal Army Chief.

At the same time, this tradition is being seen in an important way this year due to the dispute going on at the border for the past few months. Officials said that the date is not yet determined, but General Narwane will visit Nepal in November. He told that he will meet the Army Chief General Purna Chandra Thapa in this tour. Along with this, he will hold talks with several senior officials of the Nepalese Army including the Defense Minister. It is being told that in this tour, the defense cooperation between the two countries will be discussed further strengthened.

Let us tell you, the 80 km road connecting Dharchula to the Lipulekh Pass of Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was inaugurated. To which Nepal had expressed objection. Nepal had said that this road made is passing through their border. Which India denied. After which Nepal released a new map, showing its territory to Lipulekh, Kalapani, Limpiyadhura, which had increased the tension between the two countries.
